2022 City Park Winter Spark
Join us on December 17th, 2022 from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM for our annual Holiday Market Festival and Run located at Bowling Green City Park!
Family-Friendly Activities Include:
- Holiday 1 mile Race/Run
- Horse & Carriage Rides (from 5:00-7:00 PM)
- Craft & Farmers Market
- Children's Art Contest
- Family Recreation Games
- Christmas Caroling by Bowling Green Elementary Choir and Madrigals
- Food Trucks (Manny's Munchies and Big Mealz on Wheelz)
- Children's Storytime with Wood County Public Library
- Visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus
Jingle Bell Jog 1 mile Holiday Run/walk:
This is a family-friendly 1-mile run/walk around City Park beginning at 1:30 pm with registration beginning at 12:45 pm. You may race competitively for the top prize or you can enjoy a holiday-themed walk with others from the community before our Winter Spark event begins. Prizes will be announced at approximately 2:15 pm.
Children's Art Contest:
Local youth in Kindergarten through 8th grade are invited to participate in our North Pole Stroll Community Art Showcase. Participants can submit their original drawings or paintings that can be displayed, and people can vote on their favorite entry in each category. Categories will be determined by the artist's age and the submission type. All artwork should be holiday or winter themed and will be subject to approval by Parks & Recreation staff before being displayed. Judging will take place 4:00 pm-6:00 pm during the event, with winners announced at 6:30 pm on the stage in the Veteran's Building atrium.
Entries may be completed and submitted in advance or worked on that day inside Needle Hall. A limited amount of art supplies (will be available while supplies last) and entries must be completed by 3:45 pm to be eligible. Entries being submitted in advance should be turned in to the Bowling Green Community Center by Thursday, December 15th, at 8:00 pm. The Bowling Green Community Center is located at 1245 W Newton Road in Bowling Green.
